PGP 11-10-2012

i went out to campus to check up on the mulch job and i will be returning tomorrow to repair some damage ( foolishly i drove the car not the truck )..judging by the divots dug out of the university lawn i imagine it was shrapnel that tore the fabric in a couple of places...no big issue...but maintenance is maintenance..i thought all that was up and running was the brussels sprouts and the wheat grass form the land institute ( and they are and doing fine ) but i find i missed a couple of stalks of teosinte and there is still the rouge growing by the evergreen...the weather is till warm enough for a cool weather crop like the sprouts ( remember we are in hardiness zone 6 now ) and the wheat grass is showing no signs of dormancy yet ( the forage variety i planted three years ago is still green as well along with the wheat grass in my back yard )...i thought for a moment that i had mulched too early but then i recalled that the yams had died back and the asparagus and teosinte were well past their prime...it's november and time to shut down...we will be fine i think...repairs tomorrow.
