teosinte everywhere

like the gamagrass, the teosinte at the pgp has fallen over ( which is what the tesointe in my back yard in the second photo is trying to do in defiance of all the stakes and twine i have holding it up ) to distribute it seed as far away from the parent plant as it can...the seed heads have opened ( third photo ) and are shattering...i am inclined to let this go on and see what crops up in the spring...i was planning on taking the wheat grass out and planting some spuds next spring ( there will be wheat grass in the community garden i believe )...the seed heads in my back yard are opening as well...i will be harvesting some but i think i will allow some natural seeding out there as well...i have seed i purchased and will be planting in march ( particularly in the community garden since the teosinte there did not go to seed ) but i am rather curious to see if this particular grass can complete an annual cycle her in northwest indiana...teosinte fans stay tuned
