okay...so i am losing a step to age...i was outside rigging up support for frost cloth for a nine foot tall teosinte plant when it occurred to me that there are three plants still in the basement with mature ears from last season just hanging there...so i went down when i was done in the yard...pulled one off...and took it to the kitchen ( nerve center of all germinating projects )took some photos...disassembled the ear ( netted nine reasonably usable seeds )and put them in hydrogen peroxide to soak...they're in brown paper towel in a baggie right now so i may have inadvertently stumbled on a new source of spring seed...we may overcome this seed shortage yet.
an industrial worker and university student (everyone needs a hobby...my hobbies have evolved and, to keep things straight, i have left my formal student career behind for reasons that are too detailed to delve into here...continuing to be a student of life however and not adverse to learning...stasis is death ) sliding down the back side of middle age...a social loner with collectivist leanings...explain that.
