forgot to mention the third year asparagus is doing just fine and beginning to "fern"...spring 2018 and we can harvest...until then we feed the roots...clearly the drainage in the bed is good...asparagus likes water but not wet feet...there was a building on this lat that was deconstructed...i have found considerable debris digging around and that is always an issue as far a s drainage is concerned...the debris blocking the drainage is what did in the cherry tree in the old garden a few years ago...we seem to have been fortunate in our asparagus placement..they have a large and deep conical shaped root system that can go down quite a way.
an industrial worker and university student (everyone needs a hobby...my hobbies have evolved and, to keep things straight, i have left my formal student career behind for reasons that are too detailed to delve into here...continuing to be a student of life however and not adverse to learning...stasis is death ) sliding down the back side of middle age...a social loner with collectivist leanings...explain that.
