ripening

rain obviated the need to water...i stopped by to day after work anyway just to make sure and have a look around...we have a season going on, truncated though it may be...so here's some of ( but not all ) of today's highlights...the sugar snap peas, kohlrabi, and brussels sprouts ( first three photos ) all show good growth and we are hoping for a good autumn harvest of all three...the blue lake bush beans are flowering away so beans cannot but follow while the cukes have already arrived ( fifth and sixth as if you could not tell )...we have a fair number of peppers at work as well with more blooms on the plants...these are ready anyone...there are a few ripe roma tomatoes out there and if the heat and rain keep up there will be many more...the sweet potato plant in my bed had finally started to vine and the nodes have taken root...i an a fan of tubers...i am always surprised when i dig them...we'll see what the come up with soon enough...more as it comes up.
