a view from the canopy

eye level with the tallest and most fully developed teosinte flower leaves me at roof level...and looking down on both the back yard and the shorter ( seven feet ) stalks of the teosinte stand...as well as eighteen more developing flowers...just a few inches down and there are nascent ears and silks all over...some with different colored silks ( eighth photo )...the last photo is of seven developing ears not even six inches below the topmost flower...the weather is still forecast to remain above freezing for the next ten days at least...hopefully longer than that...i'd like to see some seed develop even if it cannot mature...we'll see...i will be dragging the ten foot ladder up and down stairs for the foreseeable future.
