ears

there was no frost last night...even though the forecast low was supposed to be freezing it never quite made it so the teosinte goes on fro another day...there are many ears in various stages of development on the plants and the higher up into the canopy you go the more mature the ears are...the likelihood of any viable seed seems nil but it will be interesting to see how far this can go...there was some wind damage at the to...a couple of stalks with ears broken ( last photo ) so i decided to have a look at them in the next post.
