books and spuds

i was muddling around a bookshelf looking or something to peruse for the evening...
when i came across a seriously chitted spud that had obviously been there fro some time, quietly doing what spuds do in indirect light and the proper temperature range...
so downstairs we went where i planted the patient plant in a peat pot, gave it a shot of water, and found a spot under the nursery light for it to call its own...there is significant green at the ends of the sprouts so i am reasonably sure that i found it in time to avert disaster...we will be keeping an eye on him but i suspect the next step is going to be finding a spot uner the more crowded conditions in the plant room...speaking of which...
the yacon us booming along...
while the mashua is in varying stages of development...
there are clearly defined teosinte ears developing...
and a very happy onion cohabiting with the puddle wheat is helping entertain a neighborly spud...so far..so good...actually far better than expected.
