the morning after

after i left campus yesterday there was a deluge that bludgeoned the spring wheat out back so this morning i went to campus just to check on things...once again the maize was knocked over on its side so i hilled them back up into an upright position...my hope is that they will begin to develop support roots soon ( i need a clear photo of them anyway ) the rest of the garden seems to be just fine...weathering they cyclic downpours coming off the lake without much trouble...between the hail and the rain the garden in my back yard took a somewhat more serious pummeling but i don't think there's anything terminal...just a few plants that are stooped over and some with a yellowish cast to their leaves...it is already warmer than it should be for the time of day...but that is a relative thing...coach and my youngest daughter would say "could be warmer"...we all have our seasons...things will dry out soon enough, but watering is a chore i think i can safely skip at least until monday.
