we can always discuss the weather
temperatures here have fallen into the "normal" range after being warmer than "normal" earlier this week...
"normal" hasn't prevented us from receiving over an inch and a half of rain in the last four hours and, looking at the radar images, there seems to be more on the way...
there is standing water all over the back yard ( that is a wild strawberry plant submerged in there )...
and the nasturtiums are looking a bit weatherbeaten ( though they show no signs of letting up in blooming )...
their cousin the mashua on the other hand enjoys a lot of water and they are still very lush and robust...
and the brussels sprouts seem fine with the moisture too...
the temperature variations may be confusing the tomatoes though...they are taking their time...
the rain isn't impacting the teosinte which is still erupting in ears...
and both stands of teosinte are looking reasonably hearty for almost the middle of october...we'll see how long it lasts.
