a close personal friend called it "a potato christmas" and that is about as good a description as you could want...some have begun to chit already and this is the month to plant...i have been informed that i am being moved to a different bed on campus because the robust maize i grew last season was "throwing shade" on another's bed...unfortunate...i simply planted the bed i have occupied since the garden moved to its new location...i have requested input on the exact location of my new bed since i will be starting long before the "official" season begins...so far crickets are chirping...i may make the call myself...
there has been one more garden development...i have caught a ramp at the very onset of leaf deployment...a pleasing sight...something is rooting around in my ramp bed..i will be fingering rabbits again...they have nor seemingly touched the ramps...which is good...the response will remain muted...for the nonce at least.

About Me
- fred
- an ex- industrial worker ( the continued automation of jobs, condensing of ownership, plant closings, trade wars, and degradation of living standards here has rendered me a former industrial worker...now just part-time lumpen proletariat) and university student (everyone needs a hobby...my hobbies have evolved and, to keep things straight, i have left my formal student career behind for reasons that are too detailed to delve into here...continuing to be a student of life however and not adverse to learning...stasis is death ) sliding down the back side of middle age...a social loner with collectivist leanings...explain that.
