allium, triticum, solanum

today's ramp census finds fifteen individuals up...about one sixth of my expectations for a total population...we are running well behind where we were last season...however this past winter was a bit deeper and longer than the previous one so we will be patient...
a robust asparagus spear augers well for the season in the corner of the east bed...still waiting for signs of the second year plants grown from seed last season...
winter wheat...
and winter rye are filling in...seed heads before you know it...
it has been overcast and rainy of late so the bison variety of spuds i have moved out from the basement a few days ago have not shocked and seem to be adapting to natural light fairly well..there will be more making the journey outside soon as well as tubers planted directly by mid month or so..both here and in the community garden..the garden never really sleeps..just dozed...it is wakening at an increasing pace...more as it comes up.
