teosinte tonight

the two potted teosinte plants are insect free and slowly dying back in the basement...there are still seventeen intact ears down there and the exposed seeds are still fairly green although they do appear to be turning...the fully husked seeds are a mystery and will remain so until the plants are done...while the potatoes are doing well on a weekly watering the teosinte is getting by on even less since i gave them only one thorough watering and the soil int post is still damp ans there is no wilt on the leaves...only creeping brown..even if we do achieve seemingly mature seeds we won't know until spring.
