teosinte transplant
i have been waiting ( somewhat impatiently ) for the light fixture in the top photo because some of the teosinte plants like the one in the second photo are outgrowing the peat pots ( this one is over a foot tall )...so i soaked the bottoms of four of the pots containing the largest plants ( third photo ) and took the bottoms off to allow the roots free use of the soil in the larger container, and planted them ( fifth photo )...this allowed me to move the clay pots with the recently decanted potato seeds directly under a light...nothing is certain...the teosinte may reject its new home and wither...it may hit eight or ten feet in height also...the same uncertainty is involved in the potato seeds...time will tell the tale...more as it comes up ( or doesn't )
