beeside myself

i opened up the bee house this morning ( and displaced an ant colony...the natural order is cruel ) because crown bees said my bees would bee here today...

and they were spot on with their estimate of the arrival of the baby bee bonanza ( special alliterative moment...you will know who that is for when you see it )...

the mesh bag was abuzz with activity as many bees had hatched out in transit...

after about twenty minutes in the refrigerator things had calmed down enough to open the bag and have a look before taking it outside...lots of hatched bees...

it's about eighty-five degrees ( fahrenheit ) outside today and it did not take long for the bees to warm up and begin to move again...first one hardy soul...

then a multitude emerged into august...

some of them tried to fly a bit before they were warm enough and landed in the grass which meant i had to bee careful where i stepped...

while they were in a bit of a beewildered state i managed to coax one onto my finger...beelieve me i was geeked to say the very leasr.
