new movement in the basement

two of the bisons...
and three of the blues i planted nine days ago have broken surface and are on their way to deploying their first leaves...there are, i believe, three still unaccounted for...
two of the three transplants from the same time that are now cohabiting are doing well...a third looks seriously iffy at this point...i have move it to better light and we will see what happens in the next few days...
the fifty seven day old "mystery spud" has topped the five gallon container and i continue to back fill to stimulate ( i hope ) more tuber growth for outdoor planting as part of a rotating harvest scheme that will have spuds coming in from july to october...
garlic, yacon, spuds, mashua, and a house plant rescued from feeble winter light ( a winter that seems to be hanging on like grim death by the by...lows in the single digits coming up...we will be looking into the winter rye and wheat again soon )...a fair amount of green down there...all waiting for spirng.
