79 days into the season
the squirrel in the top photo kept me company in the community garden this morning as i had a look around...the garden is seventy-nine days into its season and the plants all seem to be right on schedule...they were transplanted on the twenty-fifth of may and both the eggplants ( second photo ) and the green peppers ( third and fourth photos ) have begun producing inside the seventy to eighty day mark...the peppers continue to flower ( fifth photo ) as do the eggplants, promising more produce as the season continues...no anomalous behavior here that i can see...just annuals humming along, especially with the recent rains..doing what they're meant to do...from here it looks like a successful season all around...what's going on in the potato patch is anybody's guess...but that's part of the charm of tubers and root crops...unearthing the unseen at the end of the season...there is always a surprise....more as it comes up
