parker!!

i haven't seen cynthia ( top photo ) in the garden since planting day...but i know she's been out there quite a bit because i can see the work she does...we all appreciate her efforts this season and want to say thanks parker!!!!you made it a better place...we dug some russet potatoes that have been ready for some time ( second photo ) and we dug up some jerusalem artichokes for her to try...we poked around the flower boxes and had a look at the second spear the resilient asparagus plant had thrown up and which is "ferning" nicely to feed the roots more in the late season...that second spear is a good sign that the roots are developing robustly...we will be mulching before long...before we left the two gardeners posed for a shameless selfie...we are immortal on the interweb ( as soon as i hit "publish" ) more on season's end preparations as they develop.
