snow!

it snowed here overnight and it is still coming down...the backyard is covered in about six inches of snow and things are barely showing...the top photo is the green manures at the end of last month and the second one is of them about ten minutes ago...the third photo is the winter wheat exactly one week ago and the fourth is today...same goes for the intermediate wheat grass in the fifth and sixth...recently december has been pretty much what passed for winter here with january and february being a succession of minor snow events with a percepitous melt-off...in 2012 it was eighty degrees fahrenheit in march...this year is still a mystery...i am told by sources we are "in for a winter like when we were kids...COLD"...i am skeptical at best here...recent history says no...but then it's snowing in cairo too.
