asparagus

from a distance the pgp is still looking a bit brown and lifeless...but the intermediate wheat grass is greening and so is the gamagrass...which is fine, but the bigger news of the day comes from the periphery of the garden...three of the asparagus plants have thrown up spears, so actual produce has appeared...i will be giving it away as it is harvested but the plants choose their own times to produce and the harvest can be somewhat limited at times...altogether the plants generally produce twenty-five spears from six plants...but not all at once..still...fresh...organic...in season...who could refuse that?
