the weather outside is set to turn more winter-like and there is no real hope of sustaining the outdoor teosinte...especially if we enter into a weather regime with sub freezing highs..the good new is that the seed i have is viable and the teosinte under the lights is doing pretty well...in fact the one in the top photo is a squat little plant that has deployed a fourth leaf...good news for the roots...the early blue potatoes are booing along...the one on the right has topped the planter and is around a foot tall...cyclical potato planting and harvest seem to be on tap for the winter...as these progress i am still waiting for some other varieties to "chit" so more planting can begin...lots of tubers till on tap.
