dead stick no more

when i got home from work i found that neither set of teosinte seeds had wasted any time in the past two days...
so i prepared the traditional tesointe beds and planted thirty three of them...the balance went back in the baggie and i will plant them in starter peat pots tomorrow evening where they will stay until i get them to their new homes...
with the now eleven plants up in the direct sown bed there is a possilble population ( one expects casualties ) of forty four plants which would be the most the yard has seen...i will be soaking maize seed soon to plant by nest weekend and the zea crop will be in...that done i took a look around the yard...five squash plants and six beans are up...however the big news is...
the mooseberry bush has sprouted two true leaves at long last...i aerated the ground around the plant and tossed on some worm castings and water...we are pleased at this...
now if only i can remember...
where that recipe is .
