around the community garden

the eggplants are beginning to bloom and soon there will be fruition...and eggplant parmasean if we're lucky...the peppers are filling in nicely...as are the tomatoes around the garden...the strawberry daughter plants are taking root well and the blooms on the ever-bearing plants promise a long season...and there is a lot of season still to come...i am pondering a late planting of fall maturing brussels sprouts...and perhaps another round of turnips and radishes later this month to be in line with the jerusalem artichoke harvest in september and october...makings for a real autumn salad...we will be out there until november...maybe longer.
