transpiration II
the top photo is an illustration of the warm. dry, and windy conditions here...the teosinte in the second photo is showing the effects of tanspiration much more than anything in the community garden and even the deeply rooted eastern gamagrass is curling its leaves..the pgp is oriented along an east-west axis just like the community garden but it is in full sun all day and has the heat reflected from hawthorn hall to deal with as well which puts a bit more stress on the plants and why i absolutely soak the garden every time i show up in mid-summer...the wet season we had through last month seems to be drying out and high summer asserting itself...i will be out in the industrial fields this weekend to get a comparison on how the proletarian plants are faring...more as it comes up.
