busy garden

my main purpose in running out to campus this evening was to make sure the cauliflower seeds i planted saturday stayed moist...its well warm enough for the to germinate quickly and i don't want them to dry out and stall...but there's still a lot going on out there...the sweet corn is looking hardy and at least one is beginning to flower...i will be out there with the repellant soon to try to keep the critters at bay...the cucumbers continue to vine up the trellis ( as well as out of the bed and onto the ground )...multiple blooms mean produce soon...speaking of critters, the eggplants continue to produce in defiance of the squirrels just like last year...i am hopeful of some produce if the repellant works...the green peppers are safe from squirrels however and they are doing well...someone will need to be including them in a salad or a stir fry soon...ups and downs like every season...the weather is better this season...let's hope the harvest is too.
