melting pot II

a few photos of plants whose origins i covered yesterday but didn't have room to post and a couple of new ones...the "dinosaur" collards are in the first photo and doing well as are the cucumbers in the second photo ( okay...so i put them in yesterday too...you should know by now that i like plants that vine )...the green peppers in the third photo are a new world crop native to central and south america while the egg plant bloom that is morphing into an eggplant is from the indian subcontinent ( according to a second source...these things are far from certain and i suppose the indian subcontinent could qualify as being in southeast asia ) which makes it a neighbor of the cukes as far as origins go...the bottom photo is a view of our cosmopolitan group from the top of the picnic table...more on how this band of plants is doing as it comes up.
