a little out of the ordinary

a close friend suggested i do this post...it is not about food...or agriculture...or the big yellow flowers on the jerusalem artichokes ( although those will probably show up sometime )...it's about flowers though...there is a zinnia out there vividly demonstrating the morphological progression from bud to bloom...here goes...
