mulching miscellany
i was walking past an evergreen tree as i was cleaning up and i thought i had dropped some of the zea diploperennis cuttings...but thus one was rooted so it would appear that at some point i dropped a seed instead...didn't mulch it so we will see
if it winters over...the seed heads on my original stand of intermediate wheat grass have mostly all shattered so the perennial is expandigng its range rhyzomatically and by seed...with the mulch done all that's left up and running is the wheat grass ( mine and the kansas immigrants ) and the brussels sprouts...sprouts are developing but time is short...i pulled out of campus with a truckload for the compost pile and left a truncated perennial garden project just about ready for winter.
