wetlands preserve
while i waited for fern to decipher my gonzo directions and actually find the campus i wandered across 33rd avenue over to the preserve that dr. cortwright spends os much time working on to have a look at some jerusalem artichokes in a wilder setting where they are free range...the are just a trifle taller than the ones in the garden but the blooms are the same cheerful yellow ones...sawtooth sunflowers and an unidentified variety round out the photos...perhaps, if i ask nicely...i could harvest one of the sunchokes just for comparison...worth a try.
