a stroll down the beds IV
the bed in the top photo is home to more beans ( we have a thriving population ) as well as the ubiquitous potatoes and their cousins the tomato...i finally remembered to bring some tomato cages from home so they will be properly supported..the bed in the third photo is staffed with, you guessed it, beans and some cucumbers as well as some open space for some herbs...the beans across the garden are beginning to sprout vines ( fourth photo ) and with third, true, leaves sprouting the cucumbers will not be far behind...time to think about trellises....in my original post i somehow neglected to mention the bed in the second photo contains some well formed garlic, a row of okra, and yet more beans...there will be many pots of green bean soup in a month or so.
an industrial worker and university student (everyone needs a hobby...my hobbies have evolved and, to keep things straight, i have left my formal student career behind for reasons that are too detailed to delve into here...continuing to be a student of life however and not adverse to learning...stasis is death ) sliding down the back side of middle age...a social loner with collectivist leanings...explain that.
