hail!

heavy thunderstorm with lots of hail greeted the end of the work day and when i got i found quarter sized hail on the ground and some plants thoroughly beaten down...the mashua in the fourth and fifth photos does not like cold much so i scooped the hail out of the...containers and covered them with frost cloth to ward off any hail that may be in the next line of storms coming through...the potato in the sixth photo has seen better days as have the winter vetch and the pepper in the next two...we will look towards recovery tomorrow.
