weather

i was out early this morning...
and i couldn't help but notice...
that there was a change in the weather...it rained...
so we may not be "abnormally dry" anymore ( or, perhaps, we still are )...however what concerned me was damage to the plants out back ( and in the gardens as well...we may wander out there tomoorow to reconnoiter )...
we did lose a branch from the tree by the kitchen sink window with the birdhouse in it...fortunately neither the birdhouse or the rye in the patio were harmed...
this teosinte seemed to have been pounded itno something of a lean...but it's zea so i just stood it back up again...
the same happened to the maize...it is zea as well...so...same procedure...
the squash and beans are just fine...
the bee hatchery and the rye are still intact...
the jerusalem artichokes are looking reletless again...
and while we are talking relentless, this chinese yam has extended a vine into the heart of the beast...some plants have no fear...i'm betting on a draw here...
meanwhile the mooseberry bush ponders its next move like a chess palyer...we will look into the gardens tomorrow.
