...but there's still a season going on
even though the signs of autumn are strengthening there is still growth out there...the everbearing strawberries continue to bear fruit and there are new blooms testifying to the fact that there will be more as long as the weather holds...only one rouge stolon this week, but evidence of the will to reproduce still at work as well...there are multitudes of tomatoes although they may take a bit longer to ripen as it cools...eggplants are blooming and producing...and the green manures have filled in well and the hairy vetch ( one of the perennials in the mix that will take off again in spring ) has joined the yellow peas in flowering...there are cucumbers coming along as well so there's still time for a productive visit to the garden.
