indoor potatoes?

these yema de huevos potatoes have gone from being soft and sprouting to being shriveled and sprouting so the time to act had come...i took a bushel basket and put about a two inch deep layer of charcoal in it ( use only garden charcoal or charcoal marked "natural" for this...things like kingsford briquettes are chemically treated to help them ignite quicker and they won't do the plants any good ) to provide drainage and soak up excess water...then i filled the basket with soil and compost and created a community of potatoes to see what happens ( they weren't going to make it in that box )...for now they will be residing outside since the weather is fine but i will be setting up the grow light in the basement and moving them indoors...they had a 120 day ( or so ) season outdoors and if they prosper that would put a harvest sometime in january...that would mean another round of indoor growth to provide seed tubers for april outdoor planting ( some will be eaten if they make it )...a lot of indoor time for an outdoor crop and i am uncertain of outcomes...i will be preparing anti-aphid mixtures since they were an issue last time i brought a "wild" plant in for winter ( teosinte...it failed by the by )and i will be hoping for the best while being vigilant...sink or swim there will be more on this as it come sup.
