i'll have some garlic with those sunchokes please

it had been our pplan to inter-crop garlic with the jerusalem artichokes and so tonight the garlic went in...this is early italian rather than the inchelium red that was planted in the other bed on the fourth...a bit more pungent and it will be done before the sunchokes reach their full bore, yelow flowered, mosquito harboring, dragonfly attracting, shade casting full height ( hence the "early" )...it adds a bit more diversity tot he onion family plants that will be out there...after the tomatoes and peppers in th e bed die back we will mulch the whole bed...trying to mulch only where there is garlic would be silly...we can work with a sense of humor but try to avoid silly.
