what i found in the iuncg...
...was, among other things, that the squirrel had returned to finish off the cucumber it had started before i rudely interrupted yesterday's dinner...the cucumbers are still blooming but it seems a bit late in the day and i am not sanguine about anything much coming of it...the hairy vetch continues to bloom and there is at least a chance of seed before the end of the season...peppers are still emerging and some should mature...the yellow peas continue to sprout pods and here is another set of seeds i hope to harvest yet this fall to use again next autumn...finally he rye is beginning to set seed ( i will attempt to get a clearer phototomorrow...the movement the breeze engendered shifted the camera's automatic focus to a point behind the rye )...fall planting will begin soon with garlic and jerusalem artichokes...the strawberry mulch and a general clean up to come as well...the season never really ends.
