something has eliminated one of the cucumber plants on the hill in the top photo...not quite sure what...could be a predator or it could be an accident...either way we are down a plant which is always a disappointment no mater what the cause...something also appears to be burrowing in the hopi blue bed which i find odd since the only root crop in there consists of some very immature beets and the burrow isn't anywhere near them...something of a mystery which i hope isn't going to spread...but, of course it will..critters need to earn a living as well and some of the garden's produce will prove irresistible...particularly to the ever present squirrels...don't suspect them in this...they tend to stay above ground and nothing is mature enough to attract their attention...yet...this isn't over
