unscathed

after last night's storms i wanted to stop by campus and check on the gardens...everything is fine...the beds are unruffled by a bit of weather...the potatoes and corn are fine...the hopi blue in the third photo is coming along well ( could do with some warmer weather though ) and the northern tepehuan teosinte in the fourth photo is beginning to branch at the base...it's one of the few grasses besides trees with actual branches and as it gets bigger it will become more defined...the hopi blue will tiller like a bunch grass at the base but the tesointe will truly branch...a peculiar thing to see...even the cherries braved the storm and are displaying their presence to move the reproductive process along...botany is replete with desire ( yes...i've read pollan's book and swiped an inverted title...when something is true run with it )...there will be more before season's end.
