frost false alarm

the "unofficial" community garden season is moving along despite a bogus frost advisory for last night ( it was thirty-nine degrees when i got up this morning but the potatoes and jerusalem artichokes scoff at that...still there is quite a bit of industrial corn stalled in the fields that have already been planted...we will be planting maize tuesday and , hopefully, the weather will warm ot it will stall as well )...in fact the jerusalem artichokes are about half way to my one foot tall e=by the end of the month prediction...the ollala potatoes ( second photo )are jsut booming along as is the single german butterball pictured ( third photo )...last is yet another shot of mashua...something a bit exotic for northwest indiana...a link to the andean vavilov center...we will see how it produces.
