bee house rehab

planting and watering make mud and mud seems to be what the mason bees are all about these days...they are showing up in force even though they may be difficult to see in the photos ( top left in the top photo, just above the damaged sweet potato leaf in the second and left center in the third )..so i put the nesting tubes i got in the mail in the second bee house i took down from the locust tree and cleaned up yesterday...i put the anti-squirrel chicken wire back in place and i hung the house opposite the one out there already on the 4 X 4...we will see if this is any more attractive since the first is still vacant...of course it is along summer and i have bees coming to add to the local population so they may be used yet...they have not been up long.
